HP2g Announces Chinese Patent for Hybrid Engine

Napoleon, OH — May 28-2015 – HP2g LLC. Energy Technology Company, Announces today issuance by The State Intellectual Property Office of The Peoples Republic of China, patent # ZL201080031937.5 of the unique Internal Combustion Engine and Method of Operation developed by Douglas Pelmear, President of HP2g LLC.

This is the 4 patent for Douglas Pelmear US 7,258,094 -Patent, Valley Girdle a Engine block component, US 8,616,175 -Patent, HP2g 110mpg Electromagnetic Pulse Power Hybrid Engine and  US 8,991,356 - Patent, HP2g Skip-Fire Method of Engine Operations

About HP2g

HP2g LLC., a Napoleon-based company, has created a superior engine that is poised to revolutionize fuel efficiency and auto manufacturing as we know it.
Through patented technology, HP2g LLC. President Douglas Pelmear has discovered a way to allow a standard V8 engine to travel the energy equivalent of 110 mpg on Ethanol Blend fuel. The most striking feature of the HP2g hybrid engine is that it’s designed to run in SUV’s and larger family cars.

PATENT ISSUED
I, (Douglas Pelmear), received a US Utility Patent for the HP2g Skip-Fire with International patent applications #8991356 on March 31, 2015.
This is the third US Patent in the name of Douglas Pelmear.

1)  US 7,258,094 -Patent, Valley Girdle a Engine block component brace, Aug 21, 2007

2)  US 8,616,175 -Patent with International applications HP2g 110mpg Electromagnetic Pulse Power Hybrid Engine December 31, 2013

3)  US 8,991,356 - Patent, HP2g Skip-Fire with International patent applications  March 31, 2015

The HP2g Skip Fire - Variable Displacement shuts off fuel to cylinders and rotates the cylinders of fire. Rotation can go as low as 1 cylinder (after normal engine operation temperature). The engine is still opening and closing the valves bringing in the cool outside air which is then introduced to a HOT CYLINDER. This allows the air to expand making the engine = STIRLING ENGINE effect (from 1816). In testing, we have seen a 33% increase in fuel economy.

January 19, 2011
----
We are announcing the closing of the HP2g Facility in Wauseon, Ohio

HP2g is a revolutionary design V-8 Electric Hybrid Engine, achieving 110MPG.
400 HP on E-85 (ethanol fuel) with EPA emissions better than 2016 requirements.
HP2g was started with the intention of changing transportation of the world and putting Americans back to work. Now we are down to needing funds.
In the past few months we accomplished:

International Patent Pending
Prototype and Testing of Electronic Control
Manufacture in place for HP2g Electronic Control (USA Company)
Displayed at SEMA Las Vegas Nov. 2010 (New Product)
Purchase Orders for HP2g Electronics called Flex Fuel Chip

As this project has progressed, we have applied for loans from local banks. The State of Ohio was willing to help fund the HP2g project with a bank willing to finance, but the bank did not meet the required deadline in time.
It is to my disappointment, the US Banking System is willfully doing little than spending our money and they are not investing in small businesses. The banks forgot that their money comes from the depositors. Our government would not have to finance banks and businesses if the banks were doing their job!  Need I say, the banking system has failed us all?
The HP2g engine is more than just an idea, it’s a reality. It’s a solution for independence from oil and it would create jobs, but without funding it is just another idea shelved.
I want to thank everyone involved in the HP2g Project for their hard work and support.
In summary a quote comes to mind:

“In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a Patriot.”  – Mark Twain

What makes the HP2g get such incredible gas mileage without a significant loss of power?

For lack of a better description: marriage and frugality.
HP2g technological achievement has been the marriage of an electric motor into his E85-powered V-8 internal combustion engine, and controls that allow the combined powerplant’s output to range from more than 400 horsepower to as little as 15 horsepower, depending on what is required at the time by the accelerator.

This phenomenal range of energy output is accomplished by the HP2g  E-85 fueled engine can transition from running on all eight cylinders down to firing on just one.
We in the auto industry call it “variable displacement” —  shutting down normally half of an engine’s cylinders when not under load — to improve fuel economy. But unlike other designs, HP2g has discovered a way to vary which cylinders are shut down, so that when his engine is operating on a single cylinder, the cylinder that is firing rotates between the eight in his engine. This avoids excessive carbon buildup in part because we are using clean-burning E85 ethanol as his fuel source instead of a standard gasoline blend.

HP2g powerplant also picks up added efficiency because his incorporated electric motor — greatly responsible for the 500 ft. lbs. of torque the powerplant generates — operating on a pulse basis, instead of at what is called full saturation. In other words, the electric field used to generate power to the vehicle’s wheels can rapidly cycle on and off as required, saving energy. The vehicle uses just two “spiral core gel” batteries, common in racing, one on each side of the vehicle, and  also reclaims some energy from more established manners, such as regenerative braking, which captures energy that would otherwise be lost as a vehicle decelerates.

The HP2g design picks up added efficiencies because of tight tolerances and sturdy design that reduces engine vibration and heat, all of which drain energy output from traditional vehicles.

Also the HP2g has log more than 22,000 miles of real-world driving on his 3,250 lb. 1987 Ford Mustang over the last 18 months with an average fuel economy of 109.7 mpg.

Standard EPA testing on the vehicle in Cleveland in May confirmed that — without the benefit of a catalytic converter, which his design does not require — the Mustang’s tailpipe emitted 86.6 of hydrocarbons and 0.46 percent carbon monoxide, both well below the newly imposed EPA standards for all automakers.

HP2g meets with largest ethanol producer in the world!

(Wauseon OH  7-6-09)  POET CEO Jeff Broin visited with Doug Pelmear, developer of the revolutionary HP2g engine, at the HP2g Engine Manufacturing Facility last week to get a first-hand look at the ethanol-fueled engine capable of achieving 110 miles per gallon.

POET is the largest ethanol producer in the world, with a network of 26 plants in seven states producing more than 1.5 billion gallons of ethanol annual.

POET is excited to learn more about an American-made engine that runs exclusively on ethanol fuels.  The HP2g engine runs on clean burning E85 fuel, a renewable source grown by farmer’s right here in the USA.

“This is the next step in freeing the US to a Greener Environment,” Pelmear said. “This truly is the start towards Independence Day!”

Horse Power Sales Officially withdraws 110 mpg HP2g from

Progressive Automotive X PRIZE Competition

Napoleon, OH:  June 4, 2009 ----  Horse Power Sales.net, Inc. has officially withdrawn their team and their 1987 Mustang, powered by the revolutionary, 110MPG, V-8, HP2g engine, from the upcoming Progressive Automotive X PRIZE Competition, effective June 4, 2009.

Horse Power’s Team HP2g was initially accepted as an official “letter of intent contender” for the X PRIZE in 2008 but no longer feels it is in the company’s best interests to compete in or be associated with the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE competition.

The reasons for the official withdrawal are: (1) after Team HP2g had been accepted as a letter of intent contender, X PRIZE reduced the prize amount for the Mainstream class of the competition from $7.5 million to $5 million; (2) in our opinion, a problematic conflict of interest occurred when X PRIZE allowed one of the accepted letter of intent contenders to be a part of the competition rule setting and ultimate team evaluation processes; and (3) the changing by X PRIZE of the race date from the summer of 2009 to the summer of 2010 resulted in the race no longer fitting into the business plan and business time line for our company which is moving forward with manufacturing and marketing of the HP2g for 2010 production vehicles.

In making this announcement, Horse Power Sales.net, Inc. President and CEO, Douglas Pelmear, stated: “We have always felt that the real reason for the X PRIZE competition was to help the world. By moving forward with our production plans, we will be doing just that.”

Horse Power Sales.net Inc., a Napoleon-based company, has created a superior engine that is poised to revolutionize fuel efficiency and auto manufacturing as we know it. Rocket Ventures, a program of the Regional Growth Partnership, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Horse Power Sales’ HP2g TEAM in the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE – a competition designed to inspire a new generation of viable, super fuel-efficient vehicles. The independent and technology-neutral competition is open to teams from around the world that can design and build production-capable, 100 MPGe (miles per gallon energy equivalent) vehicles that people will want to buy and that meet market needs for price, size, capability, safety and performance
Through patented technology, Horse Power Sales.net Inc. president Doug Pelmear has discovered a way to allow a standard V8 engine to travel the energy equivalent of 110 mpg on E-85 (Ethanol Blend) fuel. The most striking feature of the HP2g engine is that it’s designed to run in SUV’s and larger family cars.
“As gas prices soar, consumer preference is shifting to cars that are fuel-efficient and buyers are choosing smaller more compact cars. I wanted to throw the concept that a fuel- efficient car has to be small out the window, so I specifically designed my engine for SUVs and larger vehicles,” said Pelmear.
On June 14, Hp2g will be put to a real-world test at the Milan Dragway in Milan, Michigan.  Pelmear believes that the results will back-up his fuel-efficiency estimates and will position HP2g as a major contender for the X PRIZE.
“Northwest Ohio is replete with experts in advanced manufacturing and engineering, and Horse Power Sales.net Inc. is no exception. Rocket Ventures was tasked by the state of Ohio to help advance entrepreneurs with innovative technology. Doug certainly fits that mold and we are thrilled to support the Horse Power Sales’ HP2g TEAM. Everyone at Rocket Ventures is looking forward to seeing the results of the race on June 14, “said Dr. Todd Davies, Rocket Ventures business development manager.
